CUSTOM GLARESHIELD INFORMATION SHEET
Experience the benefits of an Austin Jet International “Custom Glareshield” for your Cessna Citation 500 /501 /550. Austin Jet designed and manufactures this innovative Citation enhancement. We have taken the Master Caution panel and relocated it into the glareshield. This modification provides a substantial increase in space for your instrument panel. This enables you to install, modify or enhance your avionics suite and overall capabilities. With the Caution panel in the glareshield, it remains in “Clear View” for the pilot.
If
you are considering upgrading your avionics suite, now is a great time.
Austin Jet has a full service Avionics facility specializing in the
Cessna Citation aircraft. We also
provide maintenance and inspection services to help decrease your aircraft down
time. Austin Jet International is
located on the East Side of Horseshoe Bay Airport, which is conveniently
located near Austin or San Antonio, Texas.
Glareshield
Modification Kit Includes:
Custom fiberglass glareshield.
Austin
Jet International will manufacture a wire extension harness for the master
caution panel and the fire warning switches and annunciators.
The aircraft will not require any wiring modifications at all.
Modification
of the fire warning assembly will be performed by Austin Jet International.
The
installation of the master caution panel and fire warning assembly will be
performed by Austin Jet International.
Notes:

All
modifications of the fire warning assembly, switches, annunciators, and
extension harnesses will be fully tested by Austin Jet International prior
to return shipment. |

We
require the master caution panel and fire warning assembly be shipped to
Austin Jet International for the listed modifications. The new glareshield with the customer-supplied components
will be return shipped no later than 5 working days from the receipt of
the customer-supplied components. |

The
installation of the glareshield into the aircraft requires approximately
20 man-hours to complete. We
will provide the unit completely wired, textured, and painted. |
Our
STC is currently in process and should be complete very soon.
However, we and other facilities have installed several glareshield’s
with FAA field approval. We can
provide the data necessary to obtain a field approval if you would like to
accomplish your installation prior to STC approval.
